Born in Bath in 1972, experienced Freelance Photographer James Cheadle began his career as a Photographer at The Bath Chronicle in 1990. In 1992 James went on to supply photographic material to the UK national press, both the daily and Sunday papers, such as The Daily Mail and The Sunday Times working for Solent News & Pictures in Southampton. His next permanent position, in 1997, was with EMAP Publications where he worked on their range of sports titles, and worked as Picture Editor/Staff Photographer on Total Sport Magazine for two years photographing many of the world's top sporting figures. Since 2000 James has been working as a successful Freelance Photographer, and regularly undertakes commissions both throughout the UK and worldwide for a host different clients in varying media fields. James specialises in portrait, features and automotive photography. Recent commissions have involved photographing world-famous golfer Seve Ballesteros, the infamous footballer Roy Keane, and rugby International Johnny Wilkinson, as well as Michael Palin, Terry Wogan, Paul Weller, Chris Evans and real-life Love Joy, David Dickinson. James utilises the latest Canon professional digital technology to always provide the highest possible quality images. Traditional 35mm and medium format film is also used when suitable or when requested.
